One of the biggest factors in my life’s success, personal as well as financial is because of Tony Robbins. I read his book “Awaken The Giant Within” many, many years ago and it was the first time in my life where I believed I had unlimited potential. You see, my parents were great and always encouraged me but I must’ve known that that’s what parents do… So it didn’t have the same meaning and didn’t become a belief until I read that book… There’s a HUGE difference in knowing you have unlimited potential and believing that you do….
A few years after reading the book, I saw a late night infomercial and bought Personal Power, a home-study course… I listened to those cassettes over and over and over again.
At the time my life was not going well financially and spending a couple hundred bucks was not easy.
But, I remember the impact the book had on me and figured that an entire program would probably be even greater…
Sure enough, the message was clear, powerful and helped shape me into the person I am today. I went on to attend Tony’s Unleash the Power 3 day seminar, best known for its fire walk… I got a lot more out of it than walking on 3,000 degree hot burning coals, although that was pretty amazing! I immediately signed up for his Mastery University, a $15,000, three seminar program and had to write a post dated check to do so. And that was the start of everything… Tony always delivered far more than he ever charged me and that was evident by my joining his highest program, Platinum Partnership where for one year you get to be coached and mentored by Tony. It included amazing private trips with no more than 65 other success indeed entrepreneurs and business people from around the world. It was off the charts amazing. I can trace it all back to reading his book where he somehow got me to realize that we all have unlimited potential but how you think and act are conscious choices.
I’ve been to his resort in Fiji, celebrated his birthday in Jackson Hole, WY where he rented the mountain in the evening for our small intimate group so we could go tubing. I attended Formula One race car driving school with Tony in California and had dinner with him in Malta, Italy. I’m proud to say that he’s not just a mentor and an inspiration but also a dear friend.
As an aside, he asked me for a testimonial when I was named #2 real estate agent in the world for Coldwell Banker and I couldn’t be more happy to share the profound impact he has had on me
I’ve referred people to Tony’s events, they are life changing. This was most evident when I brought my brother and sister in law to his Date with Destiny Program in the Bahama’s. It was super cool to be invited to the Premier of his new television show and although my schedule wouldn’t permit me to be there, I am super excited to watch the series! .
He has a HUGE passion for helping people and making a impact in the lives of those he encounters. He’s the real deal, super intelligent (as you can imagine) a great guy, and funny as a hell! .
The first episode airs tonight – “Breakthrough with Tony Robbins”– Tuesday, July 27th at 8:00pm eastern.
The show is all about Tony doing what he does best… helping people make massive changes in their lives – fast.

Personally, I can’t wait to see this show… because I feel like I’ve got this personal connection… but more importantly, because I’m an even bigger fan of Tony now than before I met him.
And that’s saying something.
Because finding a mentor is a life-changing thing… and Tony changed my life in a big way.

I read your piece with interest Brian, and was compelled to reply. Your message is inspirational on many levels. You asked about our mentors…. you’ll be pleased to know that I regard you as one of mine. As to the impact you had on my life, I measure that in terms of personal and professional growth. So many of my successes have their roots in the early years of working with you; honing skills, attending seminars and constantly striving to be better each day. I am thankful for the experience of working with someone that I considered a mentor, someone that I knew could enrich my life through the power of positive thinking and belief in oneself. I recognized it then, and am grateful for it now.
So…thank you Brian, for your focus, your enthusiasm and your determination.
